Accessibility
What we have done to make this site usable, and how to tell us where we have fallen short.
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across this site, including the catalogue, the basket and the checkout.
What we have done
- Text and background colours are checked to meet the AA contrast ratio, including the amber and dark green used throughout the site.
- The site works from the keyboard alone: every link, button and form field can be reached with Tab and operated with Enter or Space.
- Buttons and tap targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels so they can be used accurately on a phone.
- Product photographs carry descriptive alternative text naming the item, the pack size and the material.
- The layout is responsive and reflows to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling, and remains usable when text is enlarged to 200%.
- Structural information — headings, tables and lists — is marked up semantically so a screen reader announces it correctly.
- No part of the site depends on colour alone to convey meaning, and nothing flashes or auto-plays.
Known limitations
Some third-party components, in particular the hosted payment fields provided by our payment processor, are outside our direct control. We have chosen a provider that publishes its own accessibility conformance information, and we test the checkout with a keyboard on every change.
Tell us
If you have trouble using any part of this site, email support@apparatussupplyco.store and describe the page and what happened. We treat accessibility faults as bugs, not as suggestions, and we will tell you what we have done about it. If you need to place an order and cannot use the site, email us and we will take the order by email instead.
